Some French classical music for you tonight! I’m revisiting Debussy’s 1st Arabesque that I played some years ago. A lovely piece! I’m dedicating this piece to Eleanor and Luc in Cambridge/Oxford, fellow musicians. The piece has some flute and harp like melodies ;). Hope you like it!
Time for a Bond theme, not any!
“sightreading” (I’ve played it a few times before ;)).
Dedicating this pianathon entry to my friend Liz and her husband Anthony. Hope I’ve picked one of your favourite Bond themes. See you soon!
First Beethoven piece of the pianathon 2016!
I remember first sightreading this piece during a visit to our good family friends in Dijon (in the early 2000s I think ;)). Dedication goes to the Auberts: Martine, Ivy and Anouk as well as the extended families. J’espere que le morceau vous plaira. Une pensee forte pour Philippe.
After my great weekend in Austin, TX visiting my cousin Petar, Erin and little Margot, I’m sightreading a tune from the South! Next time, I’ll play at the bar ;).
Hi everyone! A classic by the Beatles for you today: Hey Jude. I ventured into adding a birthday note to the ending. Happy birthday to my friend Lise in Paris, joyeux anniversaire, j’espere que ce ‘mash-up’ te plaira :).
After the Superbowl half-time show, time for some Coldplay. Not accompanied by Beyonce, Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars though ;)… I’ll try my best! Dedicating this piece to one of the Coldplay fans, my friend Ariane in Paris. Hope you like it!
Last Chopin for February, can’t promise for March! This was the first waltz that I learnt as a kid :). Dedication to the best Mum: Mama Vesna!
A dreamy piece on the Pianathon today. Sight-reading Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue :).
Dedication to my friend Naomi in NZ! A Gershwin piece to remember our Gershwin voice&piano duets in Cambridge. Best wishes for the start of your new course!
Everyone loves Chopin right ;). After the nocturne, I’m sight-reading the Waltz in B minor. To my fellow pianist friend Daniel who’s writing up his thesis. Good luck, a bit of musical distraction for you!
It’s winter in the north hemisphere, time for some winter classics and a first Disney song for you: Let It Go from Frozen! The song was the 5th best selling song of 2014 with the very famous piano solo bars :).
To Kasija, my cousin Jasmina’s daughter in Croatia. Za Kasiju, Jasminu i Ivana!
